EMF Sells iHeart 104.7 Translator

This from the AllAccess website:

EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is selling W284BA/WARWICK, RI to iHEARTMEDIA's CAPSTAR TX, LLC for $360,000. The translator's primary station is listed as Hot AC WSNE (COAST 93.3)/TAUNTON, MA-PROVIDENCE.

What will iHeart decide to do with this newly-acquired signal? Currently, it appears that WSNE-HD2 carries smooth jazz. Will they go with that, simulcast WHJJ or other talk programming, or maybe their Premium Choice alternative format to fill the WBRU void?

Jacko

The signal is not good, even for a translator. In South County - really, south of the I-95/Route 4 split - the translator is often overtaken by either Ocean 104.7 on Cape Cod or WELJ out of Montauk. To the north of Providence, WXLO gets in the way at 104.5.
