Emmis Sells It's Stake in Austin Radio Cluster

I Look Forward To More Format Shuffling Lets Hope Star 93.3 Stays Alive Maybe 107.1 KLZT Might Return To English

I wouldn't look for many, if any, changes. The cluster, as a whole, performs well, and Sinclair was likely in on all the changes made when it owned the stations with Emmis.

I did give KGSR a listen for 30-45 minutes last week, and I thought it sounded like a terrible fit for the market. It sounded a lot more like old school soft AC's than the new "Breeze" concept iHeartMedia has been running. I'd have to think, though, that any changes would be subtle for at least a little while. Plus, it seems to be slowly going up.

KLZT is one of the stronger stations in the cluster. In the last book it was #4 in 18-49. It's a perfect complement for a rather full cluster.

93.7 KLBJ is one of the most boring classic rock stations I've ever heard. The song choices seldom seem to change. Too bad this minor change in ownership will likely translate to more of the same extremely boring programming.
