Empire's old Alford master

Are there any stations still using The Alford Master Antenna at the 102nd floor windows?

Jeff in Sa-ra-so-ta!

As far as I know, the old Alford antenna is only used as a back up at this point in time. Most of the stations on Empire also have backups at other locations like 4 Times Square or over in NJ (Meadowlands, West Orange, Armstrong Tower). Due to the huge amount of work going on at Empire, they probably need to switch to the aux quite a bit.

WLTW, WSKQ, WXNY, WWFS, WRKS, WBAI, WBLS, and WRXP are all licensed to use it as an Auxiliary/Standby antenna.
WNYC and WQXR (105.9) both have construction permits to use the antenna as an Auxiliary/Standby.
No one uses it as a primary anymore.
