Gavin is surely in the worst position possible. Upper management should step in at this point if they want to salvage this current format/station.
First, Garvin will need to go so they can have someone in charge, not someone that bows down to woman beating bully. This will also clean slate for the listeners. The listeners, which I am one, of this format have little to switch to in comparsion. I am not into sports at all, but my 2nd choice in talk is the Ticket. The sharp witted on air personality ususally do sports in a different way where I can tolerate it and sometimes learn from it.Second, the management needs to put Russ on a rehab leave while they figured out if he is salvageable. Of course that puts their upcoming anniversary show in need of a overhaul. Russ will need to be kept away from station events. Hmmm, bet Russ isn't there for tonight's bowling event!
Third, put attention on a new air talent. Good way to do that and bring on some one thats going to create talk. Dallas Observer said Greggo is talking to them about P&K show. That would be a good attention getter!
I really loved the Jagger show. P&K was good, not great, but a solid show. Russ, well, I quit listening (for the most part) and switched to the Ticket. Russ is the same old thing every day. Not worthy of station gong down for. Most listeners will have trouble with him beating a woman, resisting arrest as these are things he made fun of. I seriously would have to think twice if I can justice listening to a station that would support him
