For those that love the Energy sound, you might want to roll some tape today as the station is flipping to (supposedly)Top 40 at 3pm Pacific. We send out all of our best wishes to our friends in the city by the bay.

But is this the end of this story......?

Well...the purchase did happen not too long ago, and usually 10 times out of 11 when that sort of thing occurs a format change soon follows.

Thank you Energy 92.7 for all of the years of dance music on that station. We will miss you. :(

thats a shame. it was a very very colorful station and i have a couple of old friends on the lineup there. i hope everything works out.

Oh no! That means that the only remaining major market commercial dance station left is WNYZ, and Pulse 87 might be going bankrupt by the end of the year.

Might? It has already filed for bankruptcy. At one-fifth of a penny per share, is it any wonder? It can operate until the money totally runs out or until a new buyer is found for "Channel 6." At $15-million, no takers, yet.

Chapter 11 would allow them to restructure their debt and continue operating. If they filed Chapter 7, there would be no more Pulse, and the creditors would get 10 cents to the dollar. In their bankruptcy filing, they stated that they want to continue Pulse 87 post bankruptcy.
Let's see what the creditors have in store.

Grrr my radiotime recorder is not working for KNGY, is someone going to record the last minutes of Energy SF and if so can they post a lnk here?

Well, as the hour is creeping upon Energy, let us not forget how many years Energy SF has made impact. Within them 5 years, you seen Energy host a couple of Anniversary Blast parties, Trevor Simpson went out there with compilations from Ultra Records, and great local talent like Fernando and Greg, Joey V, etc. We have witnessed this before when Party flipped to The Beat, but then went back to dance within months. This may be the end of Energy, but will it be the end of dance in San Fran Radio?

And while that is happening, I'm already planning things for "post-Pulse". Even if for some reason Pulse miraculously stays on air, we have to be prepared on our side.

Seems like energy is still going. About 15 minutes ago from ther facebook profile, they are still on the air...but until further notice? What can be in store for Energy tonight?

East coast here,
also: last visit to SF-bay area,(2002)
back when it was reeely *wild* on 94.9,
-
is there anything *stopping* . . . weekends...
say, from fri evening til, closing time, and/or

PPM Ratings for Pulse.... showing a great trend... ALmost 1mil listeners... quite an impressive trend... if only they could generate some revenue now....
