Listening today they said they upgraded their transmitter, does anyone have further info on this and was this a good investment for this frequency??? (and please no format bashing replies)

I know they had the CP for the proposed Sutro tower site... Does anyone know if they actually made the move?

I don't think so, the station sort of sounds different, but not like it did when they tried the sutro site

I heard they did make the move and it degraded their signal soo bad they moved back. Wow what a waste of money

i do believe they're back on the short tower with more power (than the sutro xmtr.)

i can hear them in the north bay again.

i don't have wi-fi in the car...

;D

I believe Energy 92.7 is STILL transmitting from Union St in Russian Hill. If they are transmiitng from Suturo Tower then I will probably hear them clearly in West Portal/Ingleside neighborhood. Here's a suggestion, why not Energy 92.7 move to KALW (91.7) tower. It is shorter than Mt. Sutro, but they can put more power than being in Mt. Sutro.

Configuring the power and the HAAT if they move to KALW. Their maxium power for that site at 280M is 760 Watts.

If they can move to Class B1, then they can be at 3.2kw which they can't because they already short-space with KRZZ 93.3 & KKDV 92.1 and ajacted channel issue with KFGY 92.9, and co-channel with KTOM 92.7 in Monterry. They are stuck being as a Class A Station.

According to R&R, 92.7 label as (Rhythmic-AC). Shoudn't this station be label as CHR-RHYTHMIC, since they play a lot of current hits?

Now that Billboard acquired R&R, KNGY will now be listed as Dance since they are part of the Dance Airplay reporting panel.
