Energy Onix exciter

I have one of these that suddenly will not pass audio. Dead silence and no indication on the 'vu" meter. It is almost as if I inadvertantly changed a setting. I have pored over the manual and I don't see where I could've done that. I use this exciter as a frequency-agile backup and I feed it with analog audio. Any ideas or suggestions? And... where could I send this for repair if it is above my pay grade? It is a Stealth 100 exciter. I believe this is the first problem it has had.

That is just a rebadged RVR PTX100LCD. Several settings in the menu can affect modulation, as can a failed microprocessor that those units are known for as they age. They are unobtanium unless you can find a donor unit. Any audio pass using the SCA input?

I have a RVR manual for the PTX LCD series. It has schematics if you do not have those already. I have scrapped one of these exciters when it had a micro problem...

I had this issue once. You might try feeding audio through a different input if MPX. The MPX can go into the XLR (balanced) or the BNC (unbalanced). If one stops working, you might try the other. Obviously be sure to set the correct input on the front LCD screen menu. It worked for me in the past. Or ship to to Jorge at RVR/Broadcast Depot in Miami and they'll take care it.
