English Nick on Rock100.5

I just heard English Nick back on the air at 100.5. Welcome back!

Sounds like Rock100.5 is putting 96Rock back on the air. Not the Clear Channel 96Rock, the good one. I'm lovin it.

They played "Big Balls" by AC/DC this afternoon. I don't think I have EVER heard that song on the radio...nice!

I heard ACDC's "The Jack" and yesterday they played Jackyl's "Lumberjack" - two songs I thougt I'd never hear on Atlanta radio.

I've only tuned in for a few minutes outside TRG, but there is no question this station puts The River to shame. Is there a more obvious comment?

Really? We played it quite a bit on Rock 103 in Memphis, and I remember the OLD 96 Rock playing it a few times back when I was in high school (early 90s).

I too would like to welcome English Nick back.

I've been very pleased with Rock 100.5's playlist. Recently, they played "Sweet Leaf" by Black Sabbath. I can't remember the last time I've heard that tune on the radio. It was a nice change from "Iron Man" and "Paranoid".

I was surprised to hear him; I thought he was probably bedridden or in physical therapy. He sounded as good as ever and this station is giving me a reason to wipe the cobwebs off my radio.

The Jackyl song got frequent airplay on 96 back in the day.

I get his point though... they are going deeper in the rock archives. It's nice. I heard the Scorps "Big City Nights" the other night.

Welcome back English Nick!

I'm digging the playlist on 100.5 so far. I like about 80% or more of what they play. I'd like more southern rock and less 80's hair bands, but it’s still the best station in town.

they played Jackyl's "Lumberjack"

Axel's also a Jackyl fan so that seems to make sense.

Glad Nick's better enough to be on air.

I for one, would rather they kept the southern rock to a minimum. I got my fill of that when i live in jacksonville...but then again, I realize I'm not the only listener......however, I'm also clearly not the only listener that likes the 80's rock.

River's got the southern rock covered...albeit not the deeper cuts like "Whipping Post" or Marshall Tucker.

I was disappointed when I heard 100.5 play "Hotel California" and "The Joker" at lunch today. I'm not expecting the playlist from my iPod...but let's hope they don't go too heavy with the classic rock cliches (Free Bird, Stairway, etc.).
