English Talk Station with CJBC Last Night

While driving home from relatives last night, 12-24, our car radio got tuned to the traditional CJBC 860. It's a ritual here, and has been for decades, to listen to the French CJBC on Christmas Eve, while wrapping and unwrapping gifts and consuming vast amounts of egg nog.

After arriving back home in the QRM-diseased house, our GE SR 2 had on just CJBC. Nothing else. But in the car *en route* to here, an English-language talk station was hounding CJBC. It was shortly after 9 PM, so what was audible might've been from a network newscast.

The onliest candidates listed by Radio-Locator seem to be WNOV Milwaukee (listed as 5 nighttime watts) and the closer WAOB Pittsburgh, ('religious' , 830 watts). I had gotten the Pittsburgh station one night in a wicked two-antennae null of CJBC, back when it was WAMO. But last night might've been a network newscast or a talk station.

Any help here? Might I have a new logging, hi ?

Best of the Holidays to you fine folks. May Santa have brought you a new set of earphones!
