I noticed that there was some enhancement on the FM dial this morning, likely due to the atmospheric conditions associated with Hurricane Earl to the south. I tuned my radio to 93.1 FM, expecting WHYN-FM from Springfield, MA. Nope! Amor 93.1 from Patterson, NJ/New York City was right over it, in Spanish and a weak stereo signal. WQHT-FM 97.1 (HOT 97) was weak but there. WKTU-FM 103.5 of Lake Success/New York City was coming in like a local. I also heard a little of WBLS-FM 107.5 of New York City, WCTK-FM 98.1 of New Bedford, MA and WTKK-FM 96.9 from Boston, albeit with the stereo fading in and out.
