Did you read that the effort was to keep it as cost neutral as possible? 1210 is worth nowhere near what WXTU is. So no, they should not have because it didn’t fit their needs with this scenario.
Radioinsight made a story about the deal and they said in I Quote, ''However a third scenario may be developing. Entercom Philadelphia Vice President of Music Programming Shelly Easton is rumored to be staying with the company despite originally coming to Philadelphia in 2009 to program WXTU for Beasley. Upon closing of the sales this fall would Entercom consider launching a new Country competitor to WXTU?''
Look at it this way. If 96.5 decides to drop AC for a different format, let's say Rhythmic CHR(similar to the "Wired" days), Alternative Rock(to compete against WRFF), or to a lesser extent, either FM simulcasts of KYW 1060 or WPHT, would Beasley or IHeart flip any of the struggling stations to try to dethrone WBEB? If Beasley decides to go AC on one of their stations, then I would probably expect that WJBR, whose signal also covers Philadelphia, will either flip or be acquired by another owner, most likely Townsquare.
Things could get interesting here.......
European immigrants (who come from a more rhythmic pop background), never heard that term before, could someone clarify it, I would assume that would include: Italy, Greece, Spain and Monaco, just my thoughts.

Entercom is downright stupid if they do not retain Jerry Lee as a consultant for the initial operations period. Jerry's skill in researching the format and helping advertisers create the most effective commercials is legendary; Entercom could apply his skills to their other AC stations and profit greatly from the knowledge.
I can see the farm from my window and having a hard time even grabbing BEB, CBS FM is on top of them,
Which makes me wonder if, now that they're both owned by the same company, will there be any attempt to adjust the two adjacent signals so there is less interference? Just a thought.
If KYW and or WPHT moves to FM, what happens to 1060 and or 1210 AM?
Maybe nothing. Although in DC, 1500-AM changed formats after WTOP moved to 103.5 FM, in Chicago you've got WBBM's programming on both 780 WBBM and 105.9 WCFS. WBBM is KYW's sister station. And down in Atlanta at COX Radio WSB is on both 750-AM WSB and WSBB 95.5 FM.

WOGL HD2 70's is off the air, the 3 and 4 are on, coincidence or a glitch. Its hard to grab any local HD's tonight the NYC signals are booming in wiping the locals out. I can see the farm from my window and having a hard time even grabbing BEB, CBS FM is on top of them, which never happened in all the years I have been listening to the radio and its quite alot...Nash is like a local...

Entercom is buying what may be the best run music radio station in America. They'd reveal immense incompetence if they mess with it.
