Read the "inspiring" rich guy take on how the weak & old must die. You have to anticipate more firings at KUFX,KOIT & KGMZ as has been the case for Entercom nationwide.

For me, spending time in Africa put everything in perspective. I need to raise my game and take the initiative to identify key areas for personal improvement that will tangibly enhance my performance.

Here's where you can start, David. Stop being an arrogant rich boy and lead with some sensitivity and understanding of what your employees face everyday. Can you possibly be this tone deaf?

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but all most suits care about is the bottom line. Not that he can't improve himself. There's nothing wrong with many steps one can take...like: lose weight, actually be nice to staff, and how 'bout not laying off talent at Christmas. <play Enya - Storms in Africa here> Maybe he found a heart in Africa.

If he wants to live like a predatory animal, then he should go live WITH the predatory animals. Let's just see how he lives with that logic outside the immediate vicinity and safety of his Land Rover SUV.

Let's just see how smart he is when left to his own natural devices (remember, the animals he admires don't use weapons, pink slips or anything else.)

And even in the animal kingdom (and it's a documented fact), sometimes the herd will rise up to defend their weak and old. And it NEVER turns out well for the alpha in his/her perceived "dominance"

And one day, he will be weak and old too.

And his karmic payback will be a bitch. Because seriously, WHAT the f--k is he WITHOUT his job title and income?

What if it all disappeared tomorrow? It can happen to him too. There ain't nobody safe from what's in front of them these days. S--t can still come at us sideways. Or behind. Or from below. On top of above. No matter how well he thinks he's prepared.

Because as strong as he thinks he is amongst his herd, the first order of any alpha is to LEAD to GREENER pastures and trees. Or more savory main courses.

This keeps cannibalism RARE. There is science behind this too.

Empathy and compassion towards the weakest and oldest of us are what separate humans from predatory animals.

There's already a word for humans who lack empathy and compassion to the weakest and oldest of humans.

Unfortunately, both the corporate and political world are FULL of them.......

It's time to CHANGE that mindset. Because it doesn't work for the HUMAN race.

Period.

Excellent words of wisdom! Another important cliche':

"Be nice to those you meet on the way up because you will meet them on the way down."

No one is immune from losing it all...
