Entercom Cuts at KLUV

Entercom has cut mid-day host Jenny Q and afternoon host Blake Powers in what seems to be a continuing trend nationwide of cuts. I'm curious as to why, especially with how good the station is doing, and what they plan to do with both dayparts.

My guess is they'll promote some part timers from elsewhere in the cluster.

Did they cut the jingles too?? Station sounds kinda blah and cookie cutter right now.

Here are changes coming to KLUV

Following the exits of midday host Jenny Q and afternoon host Blake Powers, Entercom Classic Hits 98.7 KLUV Dallas will add Sybil Summers for afternoons.

Summers most recently had been hosting middays at Alternative “Alt 103.7” KVIL. She has also served as morning co-host and midday host on CHR “Amp 103.7” and as a producer/co-host for “105.3 The Fan” KRLD-FM and predecessor “Live 105.3” KLLI.

I had wondered what had happened to both of those DJ's on KLUV. I'm sorry, I may be the only one who feels this way, but their night time guy, "Jonathan" just drives me up the wall with his "breathy" voice, for a lack of a better term. He used to fill in at KVIL back in the day, too.
Is he gone, as well?

Looks like Jonathan is still there. He's been in the market forever. I seem to remember him being on either Y-95 or KEGL in the top-40 days. He was on SMN/ABC's Hot AC for a number of years, too, as the morning host with Mary Tylaska. Not sure if he was on the Hot AC format during its days as “The Heat” or not, though.
