Entercom Cuts in WB

I heard entercom let go of an almost 30 year employee ??? ???. If sponsorships are down, why not get rid of the reason instead of one of the workers?

if this is true, it might be the board op/producer of the talk show on wilk. i heard nancy kman say something about her running the board today. its to bad if this is true, but as i said in an earlier post, these clowns dont care who they fire, and it goes for all the corps, and the people in charge of each station they own.. g.ms.pds etc, etc, etc..half of these so called bosses dont even know what the station format is.all they know is at the end of the month, lets look at the books and see how much money we made.

I know Mark, aka 'Bosco,' was let go after a very long tenure that dates back to the days of Roy Morgan and the pink building on Franklin St. Very sad and unfortunate. Board op duties are apparently being handled by the remaining staff.

It happened before Christmas. Bah Humbug!

your right scott, it did happen before christmas..entercom was to busy after christmas counting the money they made. and now with all the different board ops, it sounds like the old wpts in pittston..

I worked with Bosco at the old WILK studios on Franklin street in WB. Always envisioned him in a jumpsuit reminiscent of the old Gas Station attendant suits from the 50's. Job prospects for "board ops" are not bright in this day and age, and if he's smart, I would hope he saw this coming and had another side job ready to transition to. Sorry to see this happen to someone who devoted nearly 30 years to a station.
