Entercom Hit with a Security Breach

https://radioinsight.com/headlines/182543/entercom-hit-with-second-computer-network-breach/

After being hit with a massive ransomware attack on its computer systems in early September, Entercom once again hit with a crippling attack this weekend.

Sources indicate that all back office network functions were disabled including e-mail, after the attackers bypassed the blocking software installed following the September system attack. On-air machines were mostly safe over the weekend, however some markets are unable to import new content or music logs much like the previous attack.

Entercom's computer systems has reportedly been hit by ransomware over the weekend.

Apparently Entercom's IT Department lacks a learning curve. Either that, or management wouldn't allow them to lock down things like USB ports on company workstations, or pay for somewhat-expensive monitoring applications to monitor the WAN for problems. My guess is management doesn't want to spend what it takes to protect their business.
