Entercom Indianapolis...

Let's see. Looking at this, objectively, WZPL FROM FEB 2011 4.7 329,700 TO MAR 2011 4.6 327,500 is not, in my opinion, a damn good job.

WNTR FROM FEB 2011 5.2 377,100 TO MAR 2011 4.8 397,900 is also not, in my opinion, a damn good job. What criteria, in your opinion, justifies a damn good job? The Titanic?

Advances in the ratings??? Am I missing something?

Mr. Ken Tucky - Your quote:

Thank God I'm retired... How would you like to work for a Prince like this?

If RadioPro is in fact the GM at Entercom, you would actually be referring to a "Princess" - or "Queen Bee" the correct gender for Mrs. Jennifer Skjodt.

I'm not sure I buy RadioPro's claim, however. I don't see Jenny taking the time to post here, although I could see her posting a message that's a bit combative given the shellacking this board has been giving her efforts.

I think RadioPro's a "poser" just to give credibility to their post and point made. Russ Oasis, did you do it again?? ;D Oh, no you didint! ;D

If that's the case I'm even HAPPIER to be retired!!! But I think you're right (at least I hope the "real" G.M. has better things to do than attack people like he/she does)...

Oh good Lord in Heaven let's hope you're right. By the intelligence of the post I'm thinking it's more her puppet master than her. Anyone else have any guesses?

That's hilarious Cheer. You've spent a month or more making false claims and even promises of firings. Wasn't someone from corporate supposed to be coming to Indianapolis to make big changes?? Nothing you've said has come true and now you'll try and discredit what I've said because you don't like the fact that the local Entercom properties are turning around. I bet it just drives you crazy that WNTR and WZPL are doing so well now. Whether you like it or not, both stations are top 3 in adult women. Anyone with access to Arbitron - feel free to check.

I'm tired of reading your ignorant rants with no one challenging you. You haven't written one thing that rings of anything resembling something other than the hopeful predictions of a bitter ex-employee.

Up to 17 pages about Entercom now. Meanwhile things have blown up or fallen apart at Radio One and barely 1 page worth of comments.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this thread which has provided a lot of entertainment! Nothing like watching bitter radio people fight on a message board LOL!

As for Radio One, I can only opine that perhaps they are not as bitter or hate-filled as some of the folks at Entercom Indianapolis and your detractors!

Did I see somewhere that the General Manager is now in the mix? Dear Lord, when I thought this thing was dying, it gets new life breathed back into it.

One thing is for certain, if you go back 12 or so pages, I am glad I never sent my mp3 to this outfit. Where there is smoke, there is fire. All of this bitterness cannot be good for the morale/stress level of the employees...if anyone cares.

Now back to editing the Obama raw video for the 4!

Big Time - help us out here. You referred to "bigger mess" at Radio One and there's another thread started on the board, but stalled because no one has any information [or isn't willing to share] what's happened down there at Meridian near north side. Are people out at Radio One, or not???

RadioPro your reply just further confirms my thoughts of you being who I thought you were. I could be wrong (which does happen and I'm fully prepared to admit it), but I don't recall ever saying anything about anyone being fired. Leaving, yes. Frustrated and on the verge of leaving, yes. Fired...only hoping for the sake of current employees.

As for the local properties turning around, I couldn't be happier when I see things that show good management, good radio, good hiring practices, smart moves and upward movement. While I've had my words on here about the management and stand firm by my thoughts and opinions, there are plenty of great people that truly do keep that place going, yet never get recognized and I'm happy whenever they can move that dial in a favorable direction (even if they will never be acknowledged for the work they've put in).

My previous predictions are hopeful in terms of the current management being shaped up or shipped out. While I know there are people there that possess good minds, good hearts, great ideas and a willingness to work hard (both in management and elsewhere), I see that there a few bad apples that have literally ruined morale, confidence and various opportunities and relationships over time.

Eventually, things will get back on even ground and some other station will be the talk of the boards. Until then, I'll say my piece and you'll probably come back with something to the contrary.

At Radio One the WNOU morning person had talked of tension in the building making him physically ill a few weeks ago. He's no longer there. The WTLC/WHHH pd has left the building after more than a decade. Not sure about the rumours about the GM.

Not sure about the rumours about the GM.

Are we talking about the Entercom GM or the Radio One GM? Getting my popcorn and coke!

Wow looks like this thread is starting to die out. Strange how it's so heated one day and nada the next. Maybe it was my reply the other day?

I heard they are interviewing for a new DOS...

I've seen a few posts for it. I didn't notice anything about having to give away your life/thoughts/opinions for a chance to be in the job for 6 months, but I wonder if they'll think about adding that in.

They have been looking for a DOS for a while now. I don't think this position will be filled from within the market. I suspect you will see an Entercom promotion from another market.

I was thinking the same thing, but they have done that in the past and it didn't really last long. I'm wondering if they are going to advertise it because they are required to and simply leave all the sales management (except digital) unfilled. They were down to only one sales manager for around a year or so with EEW and with the micromanaging going on there I'm not sure they'll believe they need an actual DOS.

Entercom + promotion = intriguing

Anything in particular? I've been trying to keep the FM's off my dial as much as possible lately.
