Looks as though Entercom has started to lay off workers. Not the best way to meet bottom line. I hope things change for the better.

I heard they laid off a newsperson and soon to be more in other depts. I hope they find another way to meet budget. They need Johnny Andrews back.

Letting one newsperson go does not imply that "Entercom has started to lay off workers."
That's a silly supposition. When a company that employs 100 people announces the elimination of 30 positions, thats "starting to lay off workers.".
When a company lets go an employee who is not part of their plans, that's called "business."

Hopefully the Gulf South's largest radio news team will be able to recover for losing a newsperson. Any truth to the rumor that they will replaced by a part-timer whose job is to hold up Dave Cohen's ego? He is, after all, our Anderson Cooper, that special breed of newsman who can not only quickly grasp the story and tell it, but comprehensively discuss the implications and relate it to the community.

He's more like Les Nessman adding to his accolades like the "Buckeye Newshawk Award" and the coveted "Silver Sow Award". Mightynine...."As God is my witness, I thought turkeys Cohen could fly."

The TOP radio newsmen with "tell it like it is" personality is below
SGT T-BEN BOUDREAUX
JAY HOOKS

Both would be GREAT TOGETHER for a station

RIP Buddy Diliberto
