Congrats on enduring for 12 years!
It's been my experience, observationally speaking, that radio promotions people do in fact get freebies. In some companies, those freebies are sizeable. In most cases it's nothing more than a few free bottles of Windex and a couple of cases of Maxwell House coffee. My observations are not an indictment of the two individuals previously mentioned, simply a general observation made over the (20+) years that I was (past tense) in the business.
As to your assurances of investigation by Spitzer, one can only hope you're correct. I took Roxalot's post to imply that at Entercom these days, NOTHING would surprise anybody who works in the business or those who post on the board, especially since we know there are certain suits at E'com who have a reputation for throwing others in front of the bus. No names need be mentioned.
It's not that we readers and posters are conspiracy theorists as much as we're skeptics, perhaps cynics. Many of us see the glass as being half full but not drinking from it because it just might be half full of clean, clear water, but vinegar.
Best wishes to those who left the service of Entercom and went on to bigger and better things.
