Interesting posts about what will transpire in the news/talk game with WWL and WRNO...these won't happen.
1. Bob Delgiorno will retire in a couple of weeks and won't reappear on WRNO. He has a few other things to keep him busy like fishing and his Sportman's show. He's got to be tired of the circus.
2. Bob Mitchell to replace Delgiorno on WWL. PLEASE! Ms. Newman hasn't lost her mind. He had his chance with Vince Marinello post-Katrina. When he wasn't sounding like a complete idiot, he was simply introducing callers for Vince. His importance went to the wayside when the Kool/Bayou frequency change occured. Obviously, there is no faith in his very inadequate ability and they're paying way too much for such derisory talent. They'll save on wasted salaries from him and others, including the PD. Look for Marinello to stick around.
3. Don't look for Entercom resurrect Kool, ever. Not in HD and not much longer via the internet. Cost will prohibit it's existence. They have to save face and and put the corporate spin on it. It was a corporate decision, not the fact listeners wanted WWL back on FM. When's the last time they gave a crap about the listener. There are other avenues for listeners who want oldies to get it.
