Entercom Sacramento Time to throw another Log on the Fire

:) I just saw this on the FCC site, It appears that Entercom Sacramento has asked the FCC to allow them
to move the Night time KCTC-AM 1320 transmitter site from the Antelope (High Property Value) back to the original Daytime site in Natomas, And Change the City of Licence to "West Sacramento" They Claim it will be a value to "West Sacramento" But looking at the Data The Power at night drops to 500 watts from 5000 Watts in simple words We turn off the Burner and keep warm by a pilot light It you live anywhere other that West or Downtown Sacramento Good luck listening to KCTC at Night. Is this in Public interest ? ::)

Here is a Link to the FCC data

KCTC Downgrade Plan

This was brought up a couple of years ago and the new application is worse.

Look at this new nightime coverage map for 1320 KCTC:

http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/prod/cdbs/forms/prod/getattachment_exh.cgi?exhibit_id=463655

The red contour indicates the proposed nighttime coverage of AM 1320.

What's really sad is Entercom's weasel like argument for KCTC's City of License change to west Sacramento is in "The Public Interest". Unfortunately it's probably effective in the FCC's eyes.

Read the argument:

This is just a outright downgrade of a signal for real estate gain, not "public interest" IMHO.
