Win-Win Situation

More free publicity for Spitzer, more money for lawyers defending Entercom.

Welcome to an election year.

BTW, does this mean that Spitzer won't be running ads on Entercom stations?

Amd if Entercom gets that lawsuit quashed without either a jury trial or negotiated settlement and fine, it'll be 20 degrees fahrenheit, minus 7 celsius in downtown hell.

Given his current poll numbers (combined with the dismal showing of all his opponents), does he even need to?

Spitzer loves a challenge. Entercom, its lawyers and the FCC have inadvertently thrown down the gauntlet. If anybody thinks this is over or might quietly disappear, they're mistaken. It's not so much Spitzer as it is his office that is energized by the audacity of the radio conglomerates' attempt to cut a deal and end-run the AG's findings.
