Inside Radio reports that Entercom started their LMA with KMAX-95.7, KOIT-96.5 and KDFC-102.1 today. I don't expect any changes right away.I am guessing May at the earliest?
Amazing, Bonneville has not updated their website yet. They still list the San Francisco stations but NOT Seattle which they LMA today also. But Entercom updated their website to include San Francisco today.
the only way if you can tell is if they don't have that "to make a difference" part of the end of the hour when they say " a Bonneville station working for you"
According to All Access today, Entercom has already started some housecleaning to their new SF cluster. Both Director/Sales "Valerie Howard" and LSM "Lee Jameson are out. In addition, KDFC-102.1 DJ "Dusti Rhodes" exits.
Yes I am sorry to read that Dusti Rhodes has left the building. I met her when she worked at KFRC a couple of years ago. In fact she left KFRC in March of 2005 so her gig at KDFC lasted almost two years! A long term job in broadcasting these days.
Why is it that these new owners think they gain so much by letting go a hard working and smooth sounding talent like Dusti? There may be short-term gain on a monthly P & L but what is the long-term impact on listenership?
