EnterScum Stocks Death Watch

No one has to tell them they're on deathwatch, butthead. Their stock value says it all. You think you can run a bloated and greedy outfit like this with stocks under a dollar after being up $70-$80? And radio revenue going down each month? Woe, woe, woe.

You want to personally put up $10,000 and to bet me, as I bet you that Ecom won't be around in New Orleans next year this time? Come on, corporate flag waver, put your money where your mouth is. We'll both just anonymously give $10,000 each to honest Kevin Duplantis to hold and the winner takes all on 12/31/09.

I'll even match you half at $5,000 each for half that time, that they'll be long gone by 6/30/09.

C'mon Goldears, do you have a wallet and big cajones, or just a big mouth and a head full of unrealistic financial fantasies?
 
But everyone's got their own view of the same situation. Even an elephant looks different when viewed from its four sides. The board's just been too quiet lately. Sorry to dust you up, Goldear.

LateNiteSkip....Thanks for your last comment, and Happy Thanksgiving to you. I have no great love for Entercom, and concede they are having difficulties. My comment was more toward WWL, which seems to be well loved and respected by the listeners of NOLA. And, well deserved. They were there when others weren’t or couldn’t be. While they have milked that cow for all it’s worth, they continue to serve the market well. I have no insight into the workings of Entercom, although I have a friend who is manager of one of their major stations in a major market; perhaps, their highest biller and largest profit maker. He doesn’t appear to be worrying about his future; which was not the case with many Clear Channel folks. You may be right. We’ll check back in a year to see. If you’re right, we’ll chuckle about it. If I’m right, I’ll search you down and collect the ten grand. ;D
 
Time will tell, Goldear. I don't think a change in ownership would affect the staff as they are established and get results. I just don't think Ecom will be here a year from now, though the stations will likely sound the same. I think Ecom is going broke and will start dumping stations around the country very shortly. Who knows. But if I'm wrong, you win the bet! We'll meet one night so you an collect at the Ozanam Inn where I'll be having supper. :)
