Equinox will soon be Movin!

To list some "binghamton news" mentioned at the reunion.

At some point during the winter months, the Equinox Broadcasting stations should be moving from our overly cramped Upper Court Street perch (slightly above the recent flood lines) to new digs on Main Street in Johnson City. Sale of the property closed and construction is underway on the renovation of the two story property. Offices will be on the main level and new studios on the other.

No our studios are fake studio complete with fake walls, and mirrors. We also have a man behind the curtain. Mae sure you listen for the boom chica wow wow guitar in the background as Austin Powers shags in his new office.

The brass dancer pole goes in the new studo as well.

Real studios are over rated.
BTW...we found our new fake studios on E-Bay.

Thanks for askin and have a nice day....we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Since they apparently don't have real studios now, it will be a virtual move. They're going to move to virtual studios on a virtual Main Street in Second Life Binghamton.

I believe people are referring to ‘real studios’ as equipment not purchased at Music Workshop on Washington Ave. (RIP) in Endicott. In defense of Equinox; if you work at WLTB or ANY station in Elmira, I would be careful before you pass judgment. Equinox does have the new Omnia-Orban 6-8400 HD Mackie Slider board with Fast Attack.

A Mackie board is NOT a radio board. Mackie boards and CD players from Radio Shack do not a radio station make.
Equinox might want to stop by Citadel or Clear Channel and inspect the Wheatstone & Radio Systems boards, the Denon CD players and other sorts of recognized broadcast equipment, and then they might have a better idea of what a radio station is supposed to be equipped with.

Look... our gemini mixers and radio shack mics work just fine. We've been all saving our pennies so when we have our corporate office in Las Vegas we'll be able to afford and worship denon cd players.... Oh wait we don't use cd's my bad. WE are still using 45's from 1957 and our turntables are in big ole cabinets where we hide our beer.

Everyone please pray with me that some day we'll own a denon cd player....(cough cough give me a freakin break)

hey hunan... I can get you a great deal on the newest Omnia-Orban 6-8500 Super hd Mackie Slider board with Ultra fast attack. They come with a complimentary Mic windscreen and rubber band mic mount. and it also acts as an exciter as well.... unlike Britany Spears.

For the record it will be a 2 story brass pole. Strong enough for a man but made for a woman.

btw... the building next to sage supply.

Peace and love to all and to all a good night

Dan:

You mean they can't borrow your doll!!!!

Why yes they can! I'll even throw in an extra inflator and patch kit incase someone gets too excited and bites her neck...LOL. By the way Hunan Man, we have a brand new Audioarts slide pot board, and SS 32 automation. As for Elmira, Krall tells me that the old Arakis board is still there, and I Media Touch automation. Haven't heard anything good about that, but I've never worked with it.

Mack184, do you know what an Omnia-Orban 6-8400 Mackie with Hyper Fast Attack is? It comes with an exciter and rubber bands dude. Check yourself.

Dan, how does Perkins fit his fingers in an Audioarts board? Where is the Crapman 2000? WTF? Is the world coming to an end?

Shimes, didn’t Ty Cobb beat his wife? That’s not a great roll model for the kids…You teach them better then that.

DO DO DO, DEE DA DA DA.....WHO CARES WHAT EQUIPMENT THE STUDIO HAS, AT LEAST THEY AREN'T 12 FEET DEEP WITHOUT ANY WINDOWS TO LOOK OUT OF. THE BEST EQUIPMENT EVEN IF IT HAS BLOWUP DOLLS AND POLES IN THE STUDIO FEELS NO GOOD UNDERGROUND!! BUT THEN AGAIN, WHO CARES IF NO"BODY" IS IN THE BUILDING. HMM. HUNAN, YOU SHOULD ASK DAN WHERE "IS" PERKINS. NOW MAYBE THAT ANSWERS WHY THEY HAVE A SLIDE POT BOARD!! IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT, AND I FEEL......

SOME WOULD LOVE TO GET BACK OVER TO 122 STATE ST. OR SECURITY MUTUAL, OR E. MAIN ST, OR COUNTRY CLUB ROAD, BUT ANYONE WHO WORKED/WORKS AT 59 COURT ST WOULD LOVE A NICE VIEW OF SOMETHING. NOW THE POLE, DOLL AND BEER SOUNDS GOOD FOR CITADEL. SHIMES, AT LEAST KEVIN WILL BE HAPPY THAT HE WILL HAVE MORE RACK SPACE FOR MORE STL'S, PROCESSING SWITCHERS, BILL FLYNNS BU SIZED POLKA COLLECTION, JUSTINS AND TJ'S HOCKEY GEAR..........

HUNAN, I THINK THEY RELEASED THE NEW OMNIA-ORBAN 6-8500 WITH HYPER FAST ATTACK AND NOW 10 RUBBER BANDS OF PROCESS PUNCH ON THE COMPOSITE CLIPPER THRESHOLD LIMITER WOW, NOW THE WINDSCREEN IS FREE!! AND IF YOU ACT NOW, YOU CAN SET YOUR MODULATOR PILOT TO FLY AT A FULL 3%!!! ACT NOW!!

Yeah Static, I saw an add for that on allaccess-info-radioinformer.rr(radioandrecords).bds/mediabase.com! Just click on the picture of the Hyper Electrovoice/ Sure Windscreen Shock Mount with Harris Board built in.

Ok, now back to programming my HD radio station. Has anyone in Binghamton heard about HD yet? Yeah you can have extra stations on HD2 Channels! Wait ‘till you guys heard about this! You can even put a Hip Hop/ Polka Hybrid on your HD2 if you want! That’s what I’m planning…Watch out, I’m going to hire Bill Flynn and KJ to be Co-PD’s!!!

Now that is comedy my friends. 

18 years, 4 sets of call letters and still going at the same place, whomever you are. (and how long have you been wherever you are?)

I think we can all agree, it's the people who work at a station that makes it great, not the toys they have, or don't have to work with. There's proof of that all over this market! It's obvious by cruising up and down the dial that a state-of-the-art studio doesn't mean good radio is being practiced there.

By the way, the legendary Clapman 2000 has been gone for years. It's in New Jersey...far away from us! The biggest problem I ever had with that thing is all the shortwave radio stations it picked up. We all do the best we can with what we have, and the budget we have to do it with. Period.

So...how about a tour?

Hey Justin & company...

Have you guys moved yet? I'll be in Binghamton on Saturday visiting the family, and if there's any chance someone might be around for a quick nickel tour of either the old digs or the new, I'd love to see 'em.

I'm at scott at fybush dot com by e-mail...or the phone number's on the contact page at fybush.com.

Thanks!
