I suppose Gary could theoretically put a car wash in Bayport One...but I think what you just said is more likely.wcmc and wmid are being sold to wibbage

Are they adding it with their Sussex Cluster? That's very far away.WAYV, WZXL, WGBZ and WTTH are joining iHeart's Existing stations in Northern NJ to make NJ part of iHeartMedia
Doubt it. I think they just meant that they're adding this market to their NJ holdings. Are they adding it with their Sussex Cluster? That's very far away.

Closing has to be coming soon, right? The announcement was made a few days before WJBR announced VCY was purchasing them. I know every situation is different, there could be hiccups etc...
Thank you! And of big note from the article:![]()
Sale of four South Jersey Equity radio stations to iHeartMedia to close later this fall
Gary Fisher is getting out of the local radio business, selling his West Atlantic City-based Equity Communications stations to iHeartMedia this fall.pressofatlanticcity.com
Thank you! And of big note from the article:
"One of Fisher’s requirements for selling his Equity stations was that the staff be protected and retained, to which iHeartMedia agreed. There also should be no format flips or changes."
The staff being retained is big. (Although that could mean something like WAYV putting Elvis Duran on in the AM and moving the current AM hosts to different shifts). No format flips doesn't surprise me either, although what format holes would there be for iHeart to flip something to anyway?
'I could be wrong, but those requirements arent enforceable.. i heart could agree to them, and a day after the closing, fire all the staff and change every format. the previous owner could then sue but that suit wouldnt last long.I don’t buy it, TBH. If iHeart had said, “We’re paying a lot of money to take these properties off your hands, and we’ll do with them as we please,” does anyone think that would have stopped him from selling? I mean, seriously.
Don't go off the schedules of the website to make any determinations of who remained or didn't. I'm told things are still in flux and that's why none of the local shows are on there yet.Looks like iHeart has closed on the sale and taken control of the stations. All of the station websites are down, but if you add iheart to the original URL, the new sites come up. (For example: 95.1 WAYV - South Jersey's #1 Hit Music Station)
Yeah, I heard on-air a promo on WAYV for Mike and Diane in the morning, but they weren't on the website, so I figured they're still shuffling some stuff around.Don't go off the schedules of the website to make any determinations of who remained or didn't. 710 WOR uses the same voiceover guy.Looks like WZXL changed their voiceover guy that they had for years. Now they are using the same one that WNNJ uses up in Sussex.
