Five Great Reasons WEQX is sounding better then ever these days..

1) Imaging great.
2) Staff there sounds (or appears to sound) like they are having some fun there.. (Maybe Mr. Brown has mellowed a bit.) They do not sound like your angry alternative station from a few years ago.
3) Music right on.
4) Doug and Nikki or Nikki and Doug are worthy of my ears in the morning. No insults to my intelligence there.

5) I think it is a riot (perhaps in my own twisted way) to be cruising down Route 12 towards Keene, and you put on 98.1 and hear the finest example of horrible voice tracking on WJJR, and then, you are saved from all of this by picking up WEQX's translator also on 98.1. You can start hearing the repeater in Westmoreland, and carry it pretty well into and past Keene.

I'm happy with Paul Oakenfold Presents on Sat. nights.

Agreed, the Jude Corbet stuff had run its course.

That was awful- WEQX's pseudo Active Rock phase. Who was programming the music at that point, anyway?
> 3) Music right on.
Kinda like the best college radio show you've ever heard- A diverse mix of today's best new rock with a ridiculous number of recurrents and classic stuff.

Nikki- the anti-broadcast school poster child! 5) I think it is a riot (perhaps in my own twisted way) to

Now if they could only get a translator down here in the Berkshires- they tend to be very spotty down here, especially in the car.
Keep up the good work, Brooks, Willoughby, and company!
Edited by BerkSHireTim on 08/09/05 11:12 PM.

I have to agree. WEQX does sound great these days. I was headed towards Keene on rt 10 the other day and picked up their 98.1 signal way outside of Keene. It cranks like their 102.7 signal does.
