They sure did and they are doing it RIGHT. Not probably the best, they are the best!

Ok I'll bite.
THOUGHTS: Sounds fantastic!
CONCERNS: What does that mean anyway?
WILL IT FLY: It already has taken off!
WHAT DO YOU THINK: A sure hit right out of the box!

Much stronger than Thunder Country.

I tuned in to listen to WVOS-FM Country 95.9 this evening, and found it also coming in at 96.5. Also, the 95.9 signal seemed weaker than normal. What is this?

a) The 96.5 pirate that broadcast WBAI last year is back.
b) WVOS-FM transmitter malfunction causing them to broadcast on two frequencies at once
c) New translator
d) New pirate
e) None of the above

Anybody know what's going on??

I'm not a fan of country music, so I won't pass judgement on Country 95.9, other than to say I don't care to listen to automation.

They're not automated.....I've heard live jocks.
New morning show too!

Sullivan County is the land of country stations...3 FMS 95.9, 97.3 & 102.1. Is WVOS-AM still country? Also WRWD 107.3 & 1370AM reach part of the county.

Yes, I listened a bit this morning, and heard the live morning show. When I was listening Sunday, it was totally automated -- and not even voice tracked -- with no promos for live programming.

Funny, when I listened Sunday night they had a promo for "Not your Daddy's station" with a bit of "Ring of Fire" abruptly cut off (indicating that's not the kind of music they play). A few minutes later I was listening to "The Wolf", and they actually played "Ring of Fire".

By the way, every time I've checked since Sunday evening, WVOS has still been coming in on 96.5 as well as 95.9.

There's a new translator, on the mountain above Ellenville, that's relaying WVOS on 96.5.
