So I have thought this track is hot from the first time I heard it...I feel it coulda shoulda been the next CHR dance track...I know it's not just me because it has been mentioned by other posters on the chr boards as a song that should have been a hit...So what do you think?

Another song that I think is fantastic is "Crash and Burn" Nadia Ali,formerly of IIO. Check it out...I'm surprised it's not getting attention of the other dance stations.

I definitely like this one...I just don't know if it's too "advanced" for CHR listeners to accept. This is probably generalizing too much, but it seems that the most successful dance songs are the ones with more simplistic lyrics and meaning (if that makes any sense at all?)

Not a fan of it initially, but I've listened to it only once. If I hear it more often, I might start to like it.

Actually, it makes a LOT of sense. Think about the tracks that DID break into CHR this past year. Cascada has the cutesy pop hook that females love. Chris Willis definitely has the "pipes" going for him and that hooked people to "Love Is Gone". Although late in terms of CHR add, Bob Sinclar's "World Hold On" had a nice melody to it along with Steve Edwards "reggae-ish" sort of flow to it. But yes, simple, lyrical and meaning...check!

Granted, I LOVE "Every Word". It's actually the ONLY track on my currents playlist on my iPod that goes back into the summer (I always try to keep my iPod playlist current by two months MAX and add in new material, not being heard anywhere on dance radio here, that should get the nod.) Daniella definitely has that seductive voice going. Maybe the beats were "too powerful" for the average CHR listener?? I dunno. The song wouldn't crack into the Top 10 but it could have been something. Maybe by this year it still can be! :)

It took Cry For You a year and a half to make it to CHR. Cry For You was put on heavy rotation on dance stations when it came out, then it became a recurrent after a few months, then back to heavy rotation 9 months later when it hit CHR. Every Word is still in rotation on many dance stations. 93.3 FLZ picked it up in November (in a mixshow), they were the first CHR to play Cry For You. Every Word doesn't seem "burned out" for me, even though I heard it probably 250+ times since the summer. It could be a CHR hit this summer. I wish a station in New York City that isn't 87.7 would play it.

The song was huge on party 105 (#5 on their year end countdown) I think it could have moderate success on CHR stations. I'm a bit surprised some of the more dance friendly CHR's in the NYC area (Z100, BLI & K104) haven't picked it up.
