Eric Benét's Let's Stay Together from 1996

I just downloaded it on my iPhone and I still enjoy listening to it after 15 years. It was sent to Urban Contemporary, Urban AC and Crossover formats last week of April 1996 as a single from the soundtrack to "A Thin Line Between and Hate" from 1996 according to sources. What radio station would play it. KJLH could've because they play "Sometimes I Cry". Did 92.3 The Beat test it out ???
IMO Eric Benét's Let's Stay Together has meaningful lyrics. I miss progressive Neo Soul. :'( R&B comeback.

There is an growing underground scene that is larger than it was in '96. I think Neo-soul is making a comback. Unfortunately, it may stay largely underground like house, but there is still alot good neo-soul groups out there. My favorite right now are Anthony David, Carmen Rodgers, Eric Roberson, & Maxwell. Listen to WENN 101.9 Birmingham for the best of Neo-soul or 111EastNeo & Neo-Soul Cafe if you like more indie neo-soul.

Side note:
During the weekday morning WENN plays syndicated Ricky Smiley & he plays more HIT R&B and HIPHOP. Also, Friday & Saturday nights they play old schoo hiphop mixes, but there regular format is dedicated to Neo-soul.

Anthony David is ok. I liked his debut song called "Words" feat India Irie from 2008 and Forever feat Algebra. BTW Maxwell is the grand daddy of Neo-Soul IMO. D'Angelo, Maxwell and Lauryn Hill have paved the way for Eric Benét, Erykah Badu, Musiq Soulchild and Dwele among others to shine.
