Did anyone catch Eric Burch on Channel 13 Thursday morning? I happened to tune in early around 6:45 and Tree Boy (who I usually immediately turn the channel on) came on with some energy tips. He interviewed Eric who is evidently involved in IPL? Maybe Eric could shed some light.

It was good to see him since I did not know what happened after the destruction of the news dept. at Schurz. He could definitely take the place of Tree Boy who is pretty obnoxious for 6:45 am or anytime for that matter.

Yeah, Eric is now the director of the Indiana Office of Energy & Defense Communications. Big title, not absolutely sure what it means he does. Impressive sounding though!

As Ben suggested, I am the Communications Director for the Office of Energy & Defense Development for the state of Indiana. We are involved in energy policy and issues for the State. As Communications Director, I assist in the public outreach and education, do some pr, a little media relations and get to hang with Tree boy.

The Tree boy segments are a monthly thing we put together to talk about energy issues such as energy efficiency in the home, EnergyStar appliances, and other consumer oriented energy stories. Lots to talk about these days, with the BioTown project in Reynolds, the new wind farms, etc.

The segment referred to here was about the Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicle research project we've funded. We've partnered with a number of groups, including IPL.
