ERICA KAY IS BACK

She's a good addition. Good for the station and good for her. Not surprised. I swear most of their staff is made up of people who left and came back. Fun 107 is the Hotel California of radio stations. You can check out any time you'd like but.

I did this before. I left a radio station, moved away for a while and then called the PD to get my job back. If they like you, there is no reason they won't hire you again. Good for her. She deserves some stability after her crazy experience in Florida. I'm glad she's back.

Christine Fox was Fun -107's full-time 10am-2pm jock for many years. Citadel decided that she was making to much money.
Or she was denied a raise in her f/t salary. And left that slot. She remained p/t doing remotes etc... When Michael Rock was moved to the morning show. Christine filled the afternoon slot. More than likely paid on the p/t rate. With no health benefits.

Crazy experience in Florida huh....

well some good things came into her life while she was in Florida, but career wise it didn't seem to me that it worked out at all for her. Less than 6 months at her last gig, why she left is not information I have so your guess is as good as mine.

I am happy to have her back up this way and hope for and wish her good luck and stable employment and some stability and sanity in her life.

Most of the weekend staff is made up of old Rose jocks now it seems -- Billy Teed, Kannon, Jadd, Jessica Callahan (who used to be Cally on the Rose), David Duran, Larry (even though it looks like he's off weekends now and strictly morning show, but he was at the Rose for a bit too.)

and to everyone else for the compliments..i have some big shoes to fill, and extremely happy to be back in the Fun studio ;D

They call it "FUN" 107 for a reason...LOL.

Hey.... is there any other radio station out there calling themselves FUN? We've all heard of KISS, MIKE, BOB, FRANK and ALICE. In addition to all the B's, POWERS, OLDIES, LITES..etc. I've never heard any other station in the nation refer to themselves as FUN though. There has to be another one somewhere... right?

I know of two...

WRGO in Cedar Key, FL as Oldies - Fun 102.7
WAFN-FM in Alabama also as Oldies - Fun 92.7

I heard WRGO when I lived in St. Petersburg, FL often. Also, 107.3 in Atlantic City used to be owned by Spring (which used to own Fun 107). For a few months in 1998, they were ALSO CHR as Fun 107. It's now Cat Country 107.3 WPUR and is now owned by Millennium.
