Erin Burnett 'OutFront' celebrates its 10-year anniversary

I have to give a huge shout-out and congratulations to CNN's Erin Burnett for her 10-year anniversary on the network. Looking back, she's really come a long way from her days at CNBC.

Truth be told, I had never even heard of Erin until she joined CNN. I remember watching her first episode of OutFront in Oct. 2011, and honestly, she struck me as cocky and hotheaded. Perhaps that part of her public "persona" originated from years in the finance industry (read: Wall Street) prior to her joining CNN. But I digress.

Although it took me about four years to watch her show consistently, I can now say that Erin (and Ana Cabrera, yes I cheated...) are arguably CNN's true shining stars in the weekday anchor's chair. Both women in my opinion are top-notch and will be huge inspirations to future journalists. Class acts indeed!

The fact that Erin has had the same time slot (7:00 p.m. EST) for a decade speaks volumes for her contributions to CNN's success. In short order, Erin made the right decision to leave CNBC for CNN. It's fair to say both have benefited the past decade.

Here's to another 10 years Erin! 🤟

See the clip below for a stroll down OutFront memory lane. Enjoy!
