Erin Moran, Joanie on Happy Days, dead at 56

Cause of death not known -- autopsy is pending. She was down on her luck the past few years, sad to say.

That is really sad news, especially passing at just 56.
I always thought she was quite a good actress in her roles
on television.....

Unfortunately, she was known to have alcohol and mental issues that were never treated. Still, 56 is way too young.

An article I read said she was continually in trouble with her trailer park neighbors because of rowdy partying.

Per the autopsy, Erin Moran likely died of complications from Stage 4 cancer. No illegal drugs were found in the home.

And a post by Paul Peterson, himself a child star on TV and founder of a help organization for former child stars, said multiple people had tried to help Erin but apparently it was too late or she didn't take their advice or help.
