Ernesto is coming....

Listening in Montgomery County, PA....minutes from Philadelphia, and in full weather geek mode with the reformed TS Ernesto, looking to landfall near Charleston, SC today or early tomorrow.

Naturally, I wanted the local aspect, so I headed to the web to find that which I seek.

I've been listening to 1250 WTMA and, I must say, I am LESS than impressed. You'd figure, with a big breaking weather situation happening, they'd be wall-to-wall with coverage.

Instead, we get some jabroni talking about a golf tournament coming, Newt Gingrich pulling a no-show (I would, too), and a retrospect of.......The Great Earthquake.

Also, I noticed lots of gaps between spots on the internet feed. Sure, they have to cover the stop set, but let's get the act together so that it, at the least, flows and still sounds like a professional broadcast. I can only hope the OTA presentation isn't the same.

It sounds like a station with a lot of potential, but if your moniker is "The Big Talker", you had better sound like one.

Then again, judging by their properties in PA, Citadel really doesn't give a crap about their AM stations. Just an unbiased observation.
