Ernie Brown's last show at KRLD

He'll be back in 2 or 3 years. Seems to have a pattern going on, work at KRLD for a few years, move away for awhile and come back to KRLD.

That was an old hobby of mine, taping all of Ernie's "last shows" at KRLD.

I also made a point to go to the Doobie Brothers' "Farewell Concert" in 1982, believed Bob Seger's retirement over throat cancer in 1987, and was crushed when Original Coke was permanently replaced by New Coke in 1985. Call me Mr. Gullible.

Mike, that Doobie Brothers concert was also farewell to the wheel covers that were stolen off my Caddy in the Reunion Arena parking lot that night. ;D

He's had more farewells than Garrison Kellior!

I think WTOP just moved to an FM side. Maybe he will end up there. Guess he'll have to sell the new house! ;D

Even though we work for the same company in the same building, oddly, Ernie and I have never met. Even so, I wish him the best.

WTOP's been on the FM dial for over five years now.

When was it "officially" announced? When I noted they were not saying Mitch was "in for Ernie," I googled to see if my hunch was right. I did not expect Ernie would be able to do "straight news" for long - too much of a diva, used to being "the show."

he co hosted with some financial guy on his 1 hour infomercial. Guess financial guy will have to walk the tightrope alone.
