Anybody know how Ernie is doing? Last I heard here was in good health. I was wondering if he has made any appearances on local radio lately talking about the passing of Skip Carey. I have always liked hearing Ernie. He is real class and a big part of local Atlanta radio history.

Ernie Sr. delivered an inspiring eulogy during Skip's memorial service at the Cathedral of Christ the KIng. Although I did not see any video of the service, on the audio feed, the veteran broadcaster's voice still sounded strong.

Ernie Johnson, Sr., Pete Van Wieren, and Skip Caray will be inducted into the georgia radio hall of fame in October according to the grhof web site.

It is great to hear that theu are going into the Georgia hall of fame together! Is Ernie filling in on Braves Radio? I know that in the past he has done this.

I am sure that if Ernie would briefly fill in on some of the games, he would sound just as great as he used to in the past.

I wish that he would fill in for Mark Lemeke. Ernie would be a very refreshing change. I would really love to hear Ernie do some of the games as a tribute to Skip Carey.

I heard that Ernie will be emceeing a huge oldies concert featuring: Tony Orlando, David Cassidy and Connie Francis. The show is sponsored by Sunny 100.1 and tickets are on sale at the Macon Coliseum.

I would really love to see Ernie Sr. do some games this year!
