eRockster to be carried on KTBZ HD-2

Clear Channel's acclaimed indie rock/variety format eRockster will be broadcast on 15 CC FM HD-2 channels including those of KDGE Dallas, KTBZ Houston and WHTZ New York per RBR and other sources today.

Unique compelling programming (certainly, not a rebroadcast of a sister AM station) is the only thing that may attract folks to HD.

Looking forward to hearing some indie,

Not true at all, a great example is Univision's KRTX rebroadcast on KLTN-HD2. I don't have any raw data, but I have heard from a couple of Univision employees that a lot of people have bought HD radios to hear their Tejano music in HD. When a signal so bad as KRTX has trouble going into the city, and is now splashed with static from KPRC's IBOC, HD radio turns out to be a great source to re-broadcast music.

How about stations actually promoting the specific formats/programming on the various HD channels, instead of vague references to "hidden stations" or "stations between the stations."

KUHF seems to be the only station in the market that actively promotes the lineup of both its HD2 and HD3.

... that's a spot, sent to every station. They have to be generic.

I think the erockster thing is only the on-line stream. I am listening to it now via the website and this isn't what is on the HD-2 station. That still sounds like it's locally programmed. I don't know about KDGE because obviously I cannot pick that up.
