I was seeing that too, Jared, and I was certain that it would mean E Skip between here in Florida and the northeast.

Couldn't hear anything.

All I got was a mystery station on 100.3 for a brief time calling themselves 'Magic 100.3'.

*Yawn*. The skip season has been very dull for me out here in west texas. Only caught 1 skip this year so far here in Lubbock. A 768 mile catch from station 93.1 XHMZT "La jefa" in Mexico.

Haven't heard any other skips this season . Am I the only one having a dull season?

Majic 100.3 is St. Louis gar. Good catch.

P.S. We are listening to the Nova Scotia Global Tuners node and had Es up to 107.1 earlier. Lots of IDs from GA and SC. South 106.1 Columbus GA, B95.1 GA, WLFJ 89.3 His Radio etc.

I have UNID 89.9s coming in here in WA. All Things Considered and another with CHR (not KASB).

St. Louis?

I Googled 'Magic 100.3' and it listed 'Majic 100.3' St. Louis but I figured it couldn't be them because there were no Es clouds of any frequency at all between here and there.

So I figured it was some lesser known station from somewhere else.

Well, if it's St. Louis, I'll take it!

Am I the only one having a dull season?

It's not only you.

This is turning out to be another dull season for me too except for V 100 from Topeka, Ks and I guess the one from St. Louis today (if it was really them).

But last year was a dud too until the very end on July 23 when we had that massive E Skip event where I was getting all kinds of stations from the northeast here in Tampa.

I recall others here also were able to get great catches that day as the mass of Es clouds moved west.

There's also a Majic 100.3 in Ottawa, ON

Wow. Thanks.

That would also be more in the direction of all the Es clouds that were around at the time. The ones in the red were in North Carolina into South Carolina but there were also ones in the yellow/orange more to the west.

The 'Majic 100.3' site from St. Louis says it's urban/R&B but the music I heard sounded more like what would be heard according to the site of Majic 100.3 in Ottawa.

My first FM E Skip here in Florida from Canada!! ;D

I had my little Flip camera that I use right on the table next to me expecting a massive E Skip event from the northeast but I didn't have it on and ready to go at that moment because I had assumed by then that I was not going to hear any E Skip and since we were having tropo scatter here in Florida, I figured it was probably that anyway.

Well E-skip just wrapped up from the Nova Scotia Global Tuners node, most skip was VERY long. All times are Eastern.

8:06PM - 107.3 WCGQ Columbus, GA; very strong signal with "Can't Hold Us" Macklemore, ID "107.3 The Q" into "Whistle" Flo Rida. Long skip! 100kw at 1408 miles.
8:11PM - 95.1 WMGB Montezuma, GA; good signal with mention of "allthehitsb951.com". 46kw at 1374 miles.
8:18PM - 106.3 WYRD Simpsonville, SC; ID "Newsradio WORD". 25kw at 1185 miles.
8:19PM - 106.1 WSTH Alexander City, AL; weak signal with "Cowboy Casanova" by Carrie Underwood, and ID "South 106.1" by male announcer. 86kw at 1427 miles, again, long skip.
8:38PM - 89.3 WLFJ-FM Greenville, SC; stream match to "His Radio" website. 41kw at 1186 miles.
8:47PM - 99.1 UNID with Delilah, probably WSLQ Roanoke, VA as TN stations were heard later on, but could also be WAHR Huntsville, AL, 1378 miles away.
8:59PM - 90.9 WWOG Cookeville, TN; TOH ID mentioning sister station WZWP 89.5 in Ohio. "King of Kings Radio". 40kw at 1271 miles.
9:04PM - 93.3 WSYE Houston, MS; TOH ID "WSYE Houston-Tupelo" after Hero by Enrique Iglasies (sp?) 100kw at a whopping 1522 miles!! VERY strong signal for that distance as well, 1500 mile skip is very hard to get in any Es opening!
9:11PM - 107.3 WQLT Florence, AL; ID "Q107" after The Eagles' "Hotel California". 100kw at 1425 miles.
After this, it took a huge dive down to 89.5 and 91.3 and later faded out. But still some great strong skip.

Here in WA, I had...
UNID 89.9's, one was NPR and another had CHR music ("ET" by Katy Perry) and was NOT KASB in Bellevue. So probably a college or another HS station.
Also an UNID 88.9 with All Things Considered. These stations are unknown and will NOT be IDed.

Just IDed two more stations from the recording I made from Nova Scotia's Global Tuners node. Both around 8:20PM.
WNGC-106.1 Arcade GA with a song match to Keith Urban's "Little Bit of Everything" based on playlist. 100kw at 1271 miles.
WYAY-106.7 Atlanta GA with very weak ID "All News 106.7" 77kw at 1322 miles.

Had some more E-skip yesterday from Nova Scotia, to Ontario, Ohio and Indiana, 7/4. All times Eastern.

6:52PM - 88.7 CIMX Windsor, ON; several American ads and mention of the Motor City (Detroit). 100kw at 968 miles.
6:58PM - 93.3 WBTU Fort Wayne, IN; stream match to "Goodbye Town" Lady Antebellum. 18.5kw at 1097 miles.
7:01PM - 95.1 WAJI Fort Wayne, IN; ID "Majic 95.1" and Hot AC music. 39kw at 1097 miles.
7:11PM - 93.5 WRQN Bowling Green, OH; ID "WRQN" by male announcer, and classic hits music. 7kw at 1017 miles.
