Escape (NOT The Pina Colada Song)

KVOA 4.3 Tucson appears to be up and running--I'm seeing it this afternoon (Mon 06/20).

Currently it's just color bars with a KVOA ID lower right, but the channel info states "Escape Network,"
and there is an Escape TV channel in existence.

Any KVOA-ers care to chime in?

This afternoon and evening (Tue 06/21) 4.3 had a really weird "test pattern" on. No ID included, and it was a bunch of circular objects with several in color. I'm not really sure how to refer to it.

I also saw a Google search reference (of a Facebook post on the KVOA FB page) where someone asked if 4.3 would be in service on Jul 01, but could not find the post on FB. Perhaps it was one or more days ago and I didn't want to search forever.

I'm from Iowa, and according to some articles, my home market is one of 54 to get at least one network by Katz Broadcasting...

Escape is now running on KVOA 4.3, and it is still on KUVE 46.4. Not sure how long the "simulcast" will continue. KUVE has as heavy load of sub-channels, 2 in 1080i and 2 in 480. They probably should lighten the load a little and drop the 46.4. The picture quality is not as bad as you would think, although Escape looks better on 4.3 than 46.4.

I'm not a "KVOA-er", just a guy in Fountain Hills that picks up Tucson stations. We still need some official info from folks on the "inside"....
