Eskin and Gargano: Bad Blood?

Howard and Anthony nearly came to blows during the crossover segment today. They got into a very argument about the Eagles coach's decisions in their loss to the Redskins this week. In fact, Anthony was so flustered, he ended the crossover segment way earlier than usual.

I don't think it even sounded fake. I think there could be a serious rift between these two.

Note to self: If Angelo Cataldi retires (or gets fired; remember, this is radio) I think we all know who will be waiting in the wings to be the new ringleader of the morning show. From what I heard, the crew on that show aren't big fans of "The King" either.

FYI for posters outside the Philly area, we are talking about the station SportsRadio 610 WIP.
 
Anthony is talking about the confrontation with the morning crew, which is dubbing him their "hero" for it.

Who cares? If anyone is still listening to this station because they are a Philadelphia sports fan, they have only themselves to blame. Simply awful radio. The future of Philadelphia sports media interaction is coming in 2009. Stay tuned.
 
Gargano just went into break doing an Eskin impression, complete with "nitwit" and "dope" calling and even hanging up on a caller.

WIP is going to be must-listen radio come 3 o'clock.

This is just what they want! FIGHT the urge to tune in!
Did not hear the exchange and never will. WIP is, as someone said here, Simply awful radio! Mind numbing in fact. And now the joyous binge eating stunt time of year is back! No thanks.
Been tuning to 950 on the way home but the signal tanks after sunset. And the Mike and Mike show (or rather the Mike and Mike fully scripted commercial) is nearly as bad as WIP.

For who? Those that drink the Kool-Aid. Let's see I missed 3:00. I am still a well-informed, entertained sports fans living in Philly, and hey, I DID NOT listen to WIP.

Doesnt the definition of "lost" denote that at one time possession had to exist? ;)

No more Duh Cuz, Buddy Boo or Cuzzin Joey for me. I listened off and on to Duh Cuz for a few years and I cant recall an enlightening "wow this guy is a great host" moment the entire time. If you are a sports talk host dont you have to be more knowledgeable, better spoken, sharper than the average caller? WIP has a roster full of people who should be callers instead of sports talk hosts. Most of the callers have more to say than your avg WIP host.

As mentioned/speculated accurately earlier in this thread, Tony Bruno's syndicated talk show will be on WPEN 950 from 10pm-1am Monday-Friday beginning Monday 1/12/2009.
