Two spotty openings resulting in about 20 minutes of Es this afternoon. Southern UT and AZ heard. MUF briefly got to 101.5.
1:46PM - 92.5 KTHQ Eagar, AZ; with ad for Show Low Ford, quite strong at times. Relog, 65KW at 1046 miles.
1:52PM (approx.) - 91.7 KNAD Page, AZ; promo for Marketplace coming up at 3PM on KNAU. No sign of Flagstaff on 93.9 or other N AZ channels, so not KPUB. NEW #640, 1000 watts at 838 miles. (#639 was KWYR-93.7 SD on 6/10. I forgot to mark that one as new, heard previously in western WA but because I had a local translator in Yakima I never put it in the logbook - so it is new to the eastern WA logbooks.)
1:53PM - 93.5 KZUZ Show Low, AZ; local ads and promo for White Mountain Radio. Relog, 25KW at 1037 miles.
1:54PM - 98.5 KRFM Show Low, AZ; with ID for Mix 98 and reference to White Mountain Radio. Apparently they JUST changed their branding. https://www.facebook.com/storm985/ Previously heard on 96.5, will not be counting this one as new. Relog, 100KW at 1042 miles.
1:55PM - 93.9 KUQU Enoch, UT; with RDS 'NPR UTAH', simulcasting KUER 90.1 SLC. Relog, 2KW at 757 miles.
Multiple UNIDs up to 101.1 including a news/talker on 93.1, apparently could be a KZNU-AM translator in St. George. Did not get the ID off that one before TOH. Took a nose dive before 2PM.
Second wave for about 5 minutes around 2:15PM...
UNIDs on 92.1 and 90.3, and a tentative KRQQ 93.7, then...
2:14-17PM: Multiple South Mountain (Phoenix) stations at 1028 miles. Included: 93.3 KDKB Mesa w/ Alt AZ promo for virtual concert, 97.9 KUPD Phoenix with Muse song and RDS '98KUPD', 98.7 KMVP Phoenix with ESPN, and format matches on 99.9 KESZ, 100.7 KSLX and 101.5 KALV. However there was one new station mixed in.
2:16PM - 96.9 KMXP Phoenix, AZ; HUGE signal over semi-local KZTA, 80% at times on the Sangean ATS-909X. iHeartRadio promo and RDS 'MIX 96.9 Feel Good'. NEW #641, 98KW at 1028 miles. This was previously heard in western WA (over KYYO) but never heard in eastern WA due to the local in Yakima. Now that I'm in Ellensburg and the signal is multipathed, KMXP was able to wipe them out briefly. I was surprised.
RDS pics to be posted soon as well as some audio.
