ESPN’s NFL Draft Coverage Scores Big on Social Media

Wow the NFL draft got more attention than even the NBA playoffs. That is interesting here.

ESPN’s live coverage of the 2017 NFL Draft last night was the top pick for television viewers engaging on social media Thursday night, according to Nielsen.
The sports network’s first round coverage of the annual pro football draft drew nearly 12 million social media interactions on Twitter and Facebook from more than 4.8 million unique social media accounts, according to Nielsen’s social content ratings report.

TNT’s coverage of game six of the San Antonio Spurs-Memphis Grizzlies NBA playoffs matchup was the most social sports event of the day, garnering 842,000 Facebook and Twitter interactions, according to Nielsen.

I'm not surprised, the NFL is, far and away, the most popular sport in the nation.

ESPN does the Draft well.
