Here is the scoop> New PM Drive team is Ronnie Lane
& Mark Carrier. Done deal!

Ronnie's a radio pro and I remember Carrier as being an articulate and interesting guy. It could be a good combination. If they're willing to put in the work they could do very well. (No slap at either one, just pointing out that some other guys in the market just get on the air and run their mouths.)

I'm also joining Ronnie and Mark as a co-host/anchor for the new show...We'll also have Gary Sheffield and Derrick Brooks making weekly visits so we're all excited to get going. New show begins tomorrow (Tuesday)

"Nighttrain" already failed once with Steve Austin before 1010 flipped to "The Buzz."

Nothing against Carrier, but Errict Rhett and Mike Husted are probably better talkers than Mark if they were looking for a early 1990's "Bucs Legends" to bring in that still has ties to the market.

Personally I'd rather they move Sports Babe to 10-1, Scott Van Pelt from 1-4, and then do Carrier and Lane from 4-7.

Way too much local stuff on 1040 as it is.

As if "way too much local stuff" on a talk radio station was a bad thing? ???

If the national content you could carry is better , in theory, yes.

Tell me 820 wouldn't be better if they hadn't lost Hannity to 970.
