ESPN 800: Should be better at night

ABC radio has dropped the nighttime IBOC/HDRadio transmission. For San Diego, that means ESPN 800 should be a bit clearer. LA's KABC at 790 and KGO 810 from San Fran had hash/noise all over TJ's 800.
 
Would it be possible to put up a directional antenna for 800 that would protect what needs to be protected but still put a nice strong signal over San Diego? If so it would seem like a wise investment.
