love listening to ESPN 800 in the am but for over a year now I keep hearing ids or promos stepping right on the regular programming it is very irritating who ever is programming the computer really needs to clean it up
I have called the station but all I got was indifference oh well must not be making much money the ESPN in LA sounds much more professional :'(

Considering the operators of the Mexico-based station spend about $8.00 on operators, you get what you pay for.

You know? As someone who has been such an "operator" as you say, that is not the answer. It is more likely that they are running automated. An "operator" would not want that kind of mistake to happen. At least, I never did, I can't speak for any other "operators" that you are suggesting are working for them.

As someone who has picked the phone or visited radio stations in my market, they have operators running the boards.

Your results may vary and the quality of programming and operation may vary in the rear view mirror.

Just the facts; just the facts.

I wonder if anyone is actually in the building?

I've never known a board op to intentionally make a station sound bad.

Not poking you, Garrett; no foul here. I know that ESPN have board ops in US and in Mexico. And Dr. Fun, you are correct, no board op intentionally makes a station sound bad.
