ESPN 860

Anyone know when the Southern Gospel on 860 in Marion went away & was replaced with ESPN 860?

What I'd like to know is how the move to ESPN Radio was even possible.

WXFN is already the ESPN affiliate in the Muncie/Marion market.

ESPN is readily willing to throw affiliates under the bus in the same town. Many lawsuits to this against ABC. Given affiliate branding required, ESPN 950 for example, I am surprised there are not more.

WXFN is in Muncie and 860 is in Marion. Old Network Rules do not protect markets but City Of License.

And Muncie Marion is not Dallas Fort Worth. They are too far apart for the whole "market" thing to work.
