ESPN 940?

Now that's sad!
Yup - sure is
Pretty weird how these all sportz stations make money (?) without any ratings. Like the religious stations. For so many, sportz has become their religion- I guess that's it. Show the advertiser the Gospel of the Game and how HE can BE a PART of that and he'll fork over the dough. Like giving to the Work of a Church- it's a tax deductable 'exspense'. In The Name of The Game.

So will 1430 and 790 become affiliates of the CBS & NBC Sports Networks after the first of the year ? Heard they were going to try oldies after the switch.

Really? ESPN wanted that bigger signal. does this mean ESPN 2 will be on John's new station at 1150, well, when it is built.

I wonder what will happen to KFIG?, and will KFPT still carry ESPN 2?
I would thing KFIG will still carry the SF Giants through post season.

So the flip is Saturday.. Are we finally witnessing the demise of the KYNO call letters?
Why would the KYNO call letters be dropped? J. O. Has had talk on the KYNO calls for some time - why change the calls now?

KFIG is flipping to oldies according to a couple sources.
I wonder if it will be traditional 50's & 60's Oldies or the more common 60's, 70's & 80's Classic Hits?

Two Talk Stations on the AM dial wasn't going to last a long time BUT having 2 or more Sports stations on the AM dial will last a long time?

That's a good question I wondering if they use Scott Shannon's True Oldies format or make it like KYAA 1200 Monterey which would be 50s, 60s and early 70s.

I noticed the banner with 940 KYNO ESPN with 790 The Deuce, so did John and Big Dawg merge or did some kind of LMA, or what? and how does this effect KFIG? is KFIG going to be ran by John, maybe a KJWL classic format 50s, 60, and 70s, possible maybe the original Dial Global Nostalgia format or Scott Shannon's True Oldies.

940 flipped around 11. 1430 went into promo's for 940 at noon. However, the KYNO call letters and DC music bed is showing up on 1430 about every ten minutes. So, call letters for Fig went to 940 as well???

I'm still confused about the ownership of both stations???

There's been no notification of any ownership changes regarding 1430 and 940. Or call sign changes, for that matter. I would guess KYNO is paying for the billboard announcement on 1430 KFIG regarding the change. Remember, there was a similar announcement that ran on 1300 for a long time when J.O. bought 940 and moved KYNO talk from 1300 to 940.

Yes, unless the "KFIG Fresno" ID I heard on 940 at 7am today was a mistake?
