It was noticed a little while back that Citadel took out the domain names http://www.espnradio1001.com
and http://www.espnradio997.com
Citadel owns 99.7 in Prob (// WPRO now right?) and 100.1 in Worcester (the Pike)
At first when I clicked onto those sites I got blank pages. Now I'm getting the page for ESPN 1260
out of Syracuse (?!?) (Just parked for now? No 99.7 or 100.1 in that area) But I have to wonder when someone who called themselves a WCRN insider
said that they're losing the rights to the Sox (just what he said, not confirmed) and we said to
ourselves, well, the 1440 in Worc. which carries the Sox, WEEI, etc isn't all that powerful...
But what about this idea? In Worc., 100.1 goes to ESPN and carries Sox games.
In Prov., 99.7 goes to ESPN (Sox are on WEEI-FM though)
Would it happen?
