Agreed, I don't find Buck annoying at all...it's not his fault McCarver is a blowhard. Unlike Thom Brenneman, Buck actually IMO has earned his spot on the basis of talent, rather than his last name.

Well, while his voice is a bit too nasally, and I just never got that 'Thom' spelling, I have to admit, I also like Brenneman's work. I've not heard much of his dad, but from the little I have heard, I think the son was the one who got most of the talent.(Adopted?);-)

Thom Brennaman Question

Isn't Thom Brennaman actually a third-generation broadcaster??

I know his father Marty is the longtime radio voice of the Cincinnati Reds; I thought his grandfather was Tom Brennaman of "Breakfast In Hollywood" fame during the "Golden Age Of Radio".

Or am I wrong??
