ESPN Commercial Poking Fun At WWL?

I don't believe they are making fun of WWL per se, they are making fun of "homer" radio stations only focusing on the home team. WWL would qualify, but so does WFNI (Indianapolis), WFAN (New York Giants), KRLD (Dallas), KMVP-AM (Phoenix), KFAN (Minneapolis) and so on.

Great commercial though.

WHO DAT!!

It is an awesome commercial.
Each guy looks like Deke and Bobby.
Classic.
And pretty flattering when you think about it, that ESPN would actually find look a likes!

"Drew Breeesssss!"
"Oh, yeah."

Its a marketing gimmick the use ( good idea) in areas that carry espn radio ( 1350 in new orleans) What they need to grasp is that LOCAL WINS with sportstalk.....1350 is all espn ( except for the food show)you need a mix of local ......but the commericial idea is a funny one.

ESPN doesn't care about WWL, and this commercial was not a stab at WWL. They were just making a point of how you can hear Mike/Mike, Colin Cowherd, Scott Van Pelt, and other nationally syndicated shows on ESPN Radio in your area if you don't want to listen to the "homer" radio station in your area that only talks about the home team.

WHO DAT
